The fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata has been a hit with consumers and critics alike. The 2016 model became the only vehicle in history to take home both the World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year awards in the same year. Drivers can expect the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata to share the same value as the 2016 model as it arrives mostly unchanged.
The popular roadster’s price holds steady at $24,915. The only packaging changes come in the MX-5 Club trim, which receives Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as standard features. Prior to the 2017 model year, those technologies were only available on the Grand Touring trim.
The MX-5 Miata Sport, the base trim, offers a throwback look to the first-generation roadster to arrive in the United States. The MX-5 Club trims comes with performance-oriented equipment, like a Bilstein suspension. Finally, the MX-5 Grand Touring trim features larger-than-life luxury features, like three-stage heated seats and automatic climate control.
The new Mazda MX-5 Miata comes stocked with a 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G engine that delivers 155 hp with rear-wheel drive. The fourth-generation model has proven to be a hit with consumers and, if the trend continues, will continue to see excellent sales as it rolls out to dealerships in the 2017 model year.
We here at Mazda of Lake Charles are pumped for the new MX-5 Miata!
