Car and Driver Magazine has released its annual 10Best Cars list and this year Mazda has claimed two spots: one for the 2015 Mazda3 and the other for the 2015 Mazda6. This is the 13th year in a row that Mazda has had at least one model included in the list and is the only brand to have two models on the list.
“Mazda is honored to again be part of Car and Driver‘s 10Best list, a distinction which proves that the best cars don’t have to be the most expensive, most powerful and most out-of-reach for consumers,” said Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations, in a statement. “Both recently redesigned, Mazda3 and Mazda6 entered their respective segments as already established dynamic-driving benchmarks but also surpassed expectations to lead the way in fuel efficiency, safety and in-car technologies.”
Both the Mazda3 and Mazda6 stand out from the competition with Mazda’s suite of efficient SkyActiv technologies and the eye-catching Kodo “Soul of Motion” design language.
The only criteria for consideration on the 10Best List is to have a list price below $80,000, be available for testing by mid-September, and go on sale to the public by January. Even with these broad parameters, the two Mazda cars were able to come out on top and beat out other much more expensive and exclusive vehicles.
The 2015 Mazda6 is available now and the 2015 Mazda3 will be arriving soon at Mazda of Lake Charles. Stop by and see what two of the best cars in the country can do for you.
